It was time to bottle up our Jalapeño Saison. Conveniently we brewed on a Sunday so bottling was also on a Sunday. This means we could pair it up with Revenge watching. I hate bottling. I suck at siphoning. The first time I tried to bottle beer on my own I cried. The instructions sucked and didn't specify how important gravity was. This time went much better. Albert and Alicia were awesome helpers. I cannot wait to drink this beer next Sunday. The first step was sanitizing all the bottles. Buying rinse free sanitizer was the best decision ever it makes it soooooo much easier.
Then we siphoned the beer from the fermentation jug into the pot with agave bottling sugars
At this point it looked so delicious in the pot. It also had a very strong smell of jalapeño. I really hope it is not too spicy for me to drink. If that happens Alicia and Albert will get to drink all of it.
Then we went from pot to bottles. Here they are waiting for next Sunday!
Also I have the cutest niece. Paige the Panda!
