VT brewery Challenge Day 4

Sunday was the only day we did not all bounce out of bed. For once I was the energetic one in the morning who showered first and made the coffee. Our first stop was the Norwich Inn before we met up for Gelato with Kim and Pat who were in for another chunk of our journey. Norwich Inn said that they opened at 9:00  but we pulled in around 10:30. Unfortunately we learned that they don't start serving beer until noon. We did get to walk into the bar and the lady at the front desk stamped our passports.

I took a picture to show we were there.

Albert took a picture of the moose on the wall. He was starting to believe he wouldn't see a live one so this picture would have to do. Next stop gelato for breakfast.

Albert got blueberry and banana to make it seem more like breakfast. Next was Harpoon which Pat had informed us was having the Northeast BBQ festival while we were stopping by. We had a hard time finding someone to stamp our passport since the brewery was focusing on hosting the event but we did succeed. We then sat around a fire pit and devoured delicious BBQ.

We were apparently by the judges tent so people kept coming by to turn in the BBQ. One guy would scream to the high heavens Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar beeeeeeeeeeeeeee qqqqqqqqqqqqqq. It caught our attention.

We were so comfy we had a hard time getting up, but we knew with only one stamp to go we had to fight on.

Last and final stop in VT was McNeill's in Battleboro. We had a slight heart attack when there was a closed sign in the window of the restaurant next door and we thought it was McNeills. We made it inside

We got the full passport stamped.

We drank beer.

We smiled.

We got in the car and had a long drive home. We were so happy with all we accomplished and all the great memories from the trip. It was amazing and we met truly spectacular people that made the trip even better than we could have imagined. We then realized that we had been to 24 breweries in VT and none in our home state of NJ. Next mission decided. NJ we are coming for you.
