Beer at a Museum!

Friday I finally made it to the Beer Here exhibit at the NY Historical Society. I had been meaning to go to the exhibit since I heard it opened in May. Since it was closing on Sunday i finally went on Friday. The whole exhibit was based on the history of brewing in NY.

There was great vintage beer stuff in the exhibit that I love! I want every vintage beer keg, crate, and bottle. They just look so damn cool.

Seriously I want the keg in my house. I could easily use it as a side table. Also I love glass ware.

I pour my milk and my orange juice into glass carafes in my fridge. I love gorgeous bottles. This wall of pretty old beer bottles was definitely a highlight of the exhibit. Then I found the repeal 18th amendment sign that is my profile picture on pinterest. I had to have Alicia take my photo with it.

Then we came upon a vintage bottle capper. This thing looks crazy and I have no idea how someone would use it but it looks super cool.

There was a cool beer hall set up at the end of the exhibit so you could enjoy a nice beer after your learning experience. Unfortunately for Alicia and me they were serving Brooklyn Oktoberfest, which while a fine beer is not really our thing. Then we hit the gift shop. I thought these coasters were cute and I loved the saying but my collection of beer coasters is getting out of hand so I just took a picture to remember the cute saying. I realized I am a sucker for prohibition ending sayings.
